Hearing Double: The Arts of Musical Dialogue invites you into a world of musical conversation, where voices intertwine, echo, and respond. From the elegant debates of Vivaldi’s radiant Baroque duets (Double Trumpet and Double Cello) to the lyrical intimate warmth of Carulli’s Romantic guitar, and the evocative storytelling of 20th-century Australia, this program celebrates connection through sound, memory, and shared breath.

Among the highlights is Peter Sculthorpe’s Darwin Calypso, a joyful tribute to the tropical abundance and friendship in the Top End, offering a moment of place-based reflection within the program’s riches. Featuring special guest Adrian Walter, Romantic guitar specialist and former Darwin resident, whose artistry brings a personal touch to this celebration of musical exchange.
